Care and Training Intersect at Our Dog Dayschool in Maine
Our unique program offers your dog the ability to experience daycare and regular training without all the associated hazards of high-stimulation play and the high cost of training. As an IAABC accredited trainer, Canine Academy owner Kara Dello Russo dreamed of working with groups of dogs regularly, eliminating the high cost of training sessions and lack of consistency. Our day school structure solves the common problems a dog owner may have, like lack of knowledge or time to provide the necessary mental and physical exercise every dog needs to feel fulfilled and ultimately, be a great family member.
We require weekly commitments in our training packages to lessen the chances of dog-dog altercations and communicable illness.

The weekly package is the best way to go, and has the most value! 5 days for $325.00 ($65.00 per day)
Families with 2+ dogs from the same household will be offered a 20% discount for every dog on the account.

Late Pickups
We may offer a late pick-up if planned in advance. Please ask our front desk about the scheduling. Habitual late pick-ups will incur a $2.50 fee per 5 minutes late, after 5 pm. We offer a “free pass” on this policy occasionally or in extreme emergencies, as we understand that these situations can happen.

Are you looking for a high-intensity, lower-term package for your pup?
We’re offering an extended training package that is higher intensity for a shorter duration.
We will offer your pup the chance to come 5 days per week with a private 30-minute training session daily to focus on your goals.
This is an incredible option for many different daily types of training, from separation anxiety to basic obedience, or troublesome adolescent behaviors. This can also be a great trial to figure out a maintenance plan and “deep dive” into any concerns you have in your relationship with your dog.
This plan includes a 1:1 training session with one of our trainers, to teach you all about what your pup has learned.
The total cost of this program is $2400 ($400 per Week for 6 Weeks)
If paid in full, a discount of 10% will be applied, bringing the total to $2160 for 6 consecutive weeks of training.
